ARK is a story of family entrepreneurship. It all began in 1970 when Antoun Khalil laid the foundation of Khalil Bross in the small village of Mansourieh, Lebanon. Despite limited resources, Antoun's ambition and ingenuity knew no bounds.
In his pursuit of establishing a pioneering framing business in Lebanon, Antoun travelled to Italy, where he sought out companies specializing in paintings and frames. Back then, business development was done the "old-fashioned way," with phone books serving to identify potential suppliers. The first containers arrived at the Port of Beirut, initially filled with affordable products and later expanding to include sophisticated framing materials, machinery, and accessories.
Surviving Lebanon’s 15-year civil war, the business flourished in the mid-90s, supporting the establishment of over 80 framing enterprises across the country. Antoun's relentless passion led him to travel the globe, forging partnerships with prominent names in the framing industry throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. By sourcing products from around the world, Khalil Bross provided Lebanon with top-notch supplies, equipping framing shops and galleries comprehensively.
The clientele extended beyond borders, attracting customers from neighbouring Arab countries like Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and even farther afield, reaching Africa.
In 2013, Antoun's sons, Arz and Ramy Khalil, took the reins, and transformed Khalil Bross into ARK. The legacy remains to provide clients with a full and varied line of framing products and services, sourced from leading global manufacturers and help you establish turnkey business solutions.
